Pittsburgh Defeats Detroit 2-1 in Game Seven to Hoist the Cup

No team has won a road Game Seven in the Stanley Cup since Montreal accomplished the feat in 1971 against the Chicago. The last time before 71 that the road team won you would have to go all the way back to 1945. In 45 it just so happens that the home team was the Detroit Red Wings.
The last time the Pittsburgh Penguins were in Detroit they were shut out by the Red Wings 5-0. The Red Wings and the Penguins were not able to in the first period. The intensity and defense was brought up another notch in this Game Seven.
