The season may only be seven games old but its becoming pretty obvious that Anton Volchenkov is poised to have the best season of his career.
The 27-year-old native of Moscow, Russia has been an absolute force on the Senators back end through the first seven games and is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
The A-Train brings a rare blend of shot blocking skill combined with the ability to execute devastating open ice hits. Volchenkov has already claimed a handful of victims including Viktor Stalberg, John Tavares, Zach Bogosian and Victor Hedman.
