The first rounds NHL playoff series between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals has been full of irony and lacking in logic. The only way to predict the outcome of Game 7 is to go with the illogic of the opposite of the expected.
The Capitals were expected to win the series, but the Rangers took an early lead. The Rangers road record was bad, but they won the first two ames in Washington.
The Rangers were expected to upset somebody, as the dark horse, and turn into a Cinderella. Avery and Tortorella got upset and that was the end of "Averella."
