Brett Favre announces his retirement immediately after the season, practices with some high school football players, and then is rumored to have talked to the Minnesota Vikings. This is not a review of last offseason, it is a repeat.

It is also a telling sign when his agent talks about Favre's shoulder health and his might-have-the-itch-to-play-again mentality.

Anyone who bought Favre's retirement talks have not only vastly underestimated his competitive spirits, but his dire obsession to have the perfect exit and proving Green Bay Packers wrong.

The man just cannot live with just the career touchdown mark or wins list. He cannot live with his current marks as the ironman of quarterbacks.
