The Expansion Texans- What Could Have Been.

So I wrote a "How I would have built the team" article. It wasn't good. Too much if this, then that stuff. So I'm just going to throw out some random thoughts I had.

Why didn't the Texans sign Jeff Blake before the 2002 draft? At that point they only had Danny Weurffel on the roster. Rob Johnson, and Charlie Batch were both speculated to be released, as well as Atlanta's Chris Chandler. Jeff George was already a free agent. Then since they have a QB, they would (should) have taken the guy who went next. Some scary pass rusher- a guy named Julius Peppers.

Also in 2002 in Round three, they took a big beefy NT, Charles Hill. Now I know line is important, but you've got 2 DTs- Gary Walker, and Seth Payne. Why not take a ...
