Don't let the headline fool you. I am a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox. But how in the world are they pulling off a 21-13 start with the starting pitching they have received?

This was supposed to be the best starting pitching in the American League. Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Tim Wakefield, and then a plethora of No. 5 starters. Those at the back end of the rotation consisted of Brad Penny, John Smoltz, and prospects Clay Buchholz and Michael Bowden.
