Another season has ended for the Sixers. A season that began with high hopes due to the acquisition of Elton Brand. The Sixers were considered a team on the rise following the 2007-08 season which saw them finish the season a game under .500 and put a scare into the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the playoffs.
Maurice Cheeks was given an extension and all seemed to be moving in the right direction. Not so fast. Anyone who follows Philly sports knows that nothing comes easy.
