Cribbs believes he has outperformed his current contract and deserves a renegotiation for a new contract with the team.
John Clayton, of espn.com, has reported Cribbs may be planning a holdout during training camp, or even ask to be traded if he doesn't get a new contract.
In 2006, Cribbs signed a seven-year $6.7 million contract extension a year before breaking the Browns' kick-return records and making the Pro Bowl as the kick returner for the AFC.
Cribbs did not complain once in 2008 about his contract situation, figuring Browns management would grant him his wish of a new contract in 2009
