Three games have been played between the Western and Eastern Conference Finals, and in two of those games the underdog won. Who was expecting that?
Going into the playoffs, people were already sure the NBA finals would be between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both teams were dominant at home, and everyone's predictions looked right as the Lakers and Magic made their way into their respective finals.
The Lakers had fallen back to earth some as they barely snuck by a Yao-less Rockets, but the Cavaliers had yet to lose in two rounds of the playoffs.
