1932: "Rocky" Jim Bartlett was born today in Verdun, Quebec, Canada. The LW started his NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1955-56, but spent the majority of his hockey career in the AHL with the Baltimore Clippers and Providence Reds. Rocky played on season in Boston—1960-61—scoring 24-points in 63 games, while racking-up 95 penalty minutes.

 

1975: Born today in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, center Andre Savage signed with the Boston Bruins in 1998. He spent three seasons with the Black and Gold, splitting time between Boston and AHL Providence Bruins. Savage notched 20 points 50 games with the Boston Bruins before signing with the Vancouver Canucks in 2001.
