Well, that's only one of the reasons. The other reason is that they complain so much. The complaining is lead by their head complainer Kobe Bryant.
Kobe, the refs are not going to make every call so if you don't like use your frustration to help your team win. In my opinion, the refs cheat for you most of the time.
For example, every time Andrew Bynum sets a screen he throws elbows and does not get called for it then when the other team complains they pick up technical fouls. But when Kobe complains, it's just like they ignore him.
