There is also the outside chance that Matt Duchene could be drafted or that the pick could be dealt. But I do not feel the Isles will go in either of these directions.
I also feel very strongly that the Isles will take Tavares with the first pick. I think there's too much Tavares can do for this franchise, on and off the ice, for the Isles to pass him up.
The Isles do have another first-round pick (the 26th-overall from San Jose) to go along with the first as well.
