Sources at the New Jersey Devils confirm that Mr. Lamoriello will evaluate his position as GM after the 2009-2010 campaign. Lamoriello has stated publicly that he will stay as long as he feels he is doing the best job possible.
If the Devils fail to advance past the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs during their upcoming campaign, one can surmise from these comments that Lamoriello will consider stepping aside.
