Even with Murphy’s Law fully in effect, the scrappy Reds continue to find a way to stay in contention in the National League Central.
Reds Nation was excited about the return of young hurler Edison Volquez after a brief stay on the DL with back spasms.
Much to the chagrin of Reds fans starved for a return to the playoffs, Volquez lasted just one inning before being forced to exit with numbness in the pinky and ring fingers of his pitching hand.
