Tiger Stadium is Going Down

It was announced today that the last remaining pieces of Tiger Stadium are going to be demolished. Detroit’s Economic Development Corp. Board voted earlier today, 7-1, that the Stadium will be leveled.
A group had worked for the past few years to keep at least part of the historic stadium standing, but in the end, there just wasn’t enough money.
So, the home of Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Charlie Gehringer, Lou Whitaker, Alan Trammell, Denny McLain, Hal Newhouser, Hank Greenberg, and Rob Deer is going down.
