Cincinnati Reds: Great Pitching Equals Winning

For the past couple years the Reds haven’t had a very big problem in the scoring part of baseball, but they struggled in keeping the other team from scoring.
There were inconsistent pitchers, and even more inconsistent closers, but the Reds have finally found that consistency they needed and are doing great because of it.
They figured out that great hitting isn’t any good when the other team scores more, so last season they traded one of their great hitters for a great pitcher in Edinson Volquez.
