After all the talk about the new Yankee Stadium possibly being the Coors Field of the East Coast, it's fitting the first homestand in the building's history was ended with a walk-off home run.
Eight innings and five at-bats after hitting a solo homer in the second, Melky Cabrera delivered a Yankee victory by driving a two-run homer in the 14th inning, ending the game in just under five hours.
It was the fifth home run of the game and 26th homer in six games at Yankee Stadium.
