I love watching these guys play, especially when my Alma mater, the LSU Tigers, is fighting for another National Championship.
The 1990s were a great decade to be a Tigers’ baseball fan—five championships, the last culminating in the 2000 season, came back to Baton Rouge, La., within the course of a decade. Not too shabby.
And now the Tigers are back in Omaha’s Rosenblatt Stadium—affectionately called Alex Box North by the faithful LSU fans who make the journey in droves from the deep South to support the Tigers—to try for championship number six. Got off to a good start Saturday night with a 9-5 win against Virginia.
