Owen Daniels Signs $2.79 Million Tender Offer

Pro Bowl tight end Owen Daniels has signed a tender offer from the Houston Texans, a Houston newspaper has reported, and will continue to pursue a long-term contract with the team which could make him among the highest-paid players at his position.
The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain reported in weekend editions that Daniels has accepted the team’s $2.79 million restricted free-agency offer.
Daniels skipped the team’s final week of Organized Team Activity (OTA) workouts last week, and McClain quotes unnamed sources as saying the team has made a new offer for a long-term deal that would make the 26-year-old third-year man one of the best-paid players in the league at tight end.
