Some reports say he has already been released, others say he is going to be next week. Some say he is currently being shopped, while others say he isn't.
In a recent interview in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Foote stated he has been given permission to speak to other teams.
Foote is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He has stated before that he would love to end his career playing for the team he grew up rooting for.
