Boston Bruins Fans at the Irish Wake

We are gathered here today to bear witness to the passing of the 2008-2009 season for our beloved Boston Bruins. Though they fought bravely through the course of the season they ultimately fell short of the final goal that so many have struggles to achieve.
Though like Goliath, seemingly mighty in body and spirit, they were vanquished in an untimely way by the David that was Carolina. There are lessons to be learned here, lessons in maturity, perseverance, and pride. Hopefully those lessons are not lost amongst the Bruins and their followers.
