There was fast action in the first period of the game on Monday night between the Vancouver Canucks and the Chicago Black Hawks, with no apparent edge for either team.
Vancouver’s Mason Raymond scored nine minutes into the game and Chicago’s Patrick Kane tied it up at the 11-minute mark. The Canucks out-shot the Hawks 13-9 in the first period and looked as if they were ready to have Game Seven back in Vancouver.
Then, Chicago’s Kris Versteeg put the Hawks ahead 2-1 at 3:54 into the second, and Jonathon Toews wrist shot increased the lead for Chicago to 3-1 at 10:17. It looked as if Chicago was going to walk away with the game, and only after a great save by Roberto Loungo and Daniel Sedin's goal which c...
