Evgeni Malkin is the MVP of the NHL. Here is why; Malkin led the league in points early in the season and held that title throughout.
There were plenty who tried to dethrone him but failed, including wonder boy Alexander Ovechkin.
Sure, Ovechkin lead the league in goals, but Malkin has the advantage when it comes to Assists, +/-, Giveaways, Takeaways, and short handed goals. Ovechkin leads Malkin in only hits and goals.
