On June 26, 2009, the New York Islanders will be making a major decision over the future of the franchise, as they have to decide if they want to have John Tavares Victor Hedman or somebody else as the cornerstone as their franchise during this rebuilding stage.

However, the Islanders desperately need to have John Tavares next season playing in the NHL, and for the Islanders, and these are the reasons why Taveres has to come to Long Island.
