When will the Rangers, starting with their GM and going down to their fans, will finally realize that the strategy of trying to buy a Stanley Cup by signing overpriced, overrated free agents is long gone?
They have heard of the salary cap, right?
The Rangers coaches and players talk about how they have to try and shut down Alex Ovechkin, Nick Backstrom, Alexander Semin, and Mike Green, yet when the Capitals players and coach talk you never hear them say how we have to try and shut down Scott Gomez, Chris Drury, Markus Naslund and Nik Zherdev.
Why? Because that would sound like a joke.
All the Rangers fans can do after Game 6 is whine about ...
